Details

Bott Ltd is based in Cornwall, UK and was seeking to shift their production capacity to new product lines freeing up this plant and considerable supporting equipment.

Riley Surface World was retained to market and find a buyer for this barrel and rack plating line and associated plant. Feasibility and market appraisals were carried out with assistance from Will Green FIMF with the aim of providing funds for reinvestment.

Riley's professional photography and videography team were brought in and the DFS team prepared marketing materials and advertised the plant to a worldwide market.

As part of their roadmap for this plant a significant control and PLC upgrade was designed and installed with Jacquet Weston Engineering to maximise the chance of sale and value.

Following a successful negotiation with an existing client a sale was agreed including professional decommissioning and loading to container transport.

Full electrical and mechanical decommissioning was carried out by GR8 Electrical Engineering in preparation for loading into containers for Mexico. Naturally this included safe handling and decontamination of chemical residues and was carried out in a cost effective manner with minimal disruption to a functioning business.
