Description
200°C general purpose, electric, batch ovens from 3.4m³ upwards. Ideal for a vast range of low temperature thermal processes such as drying, curing and pre-heating.
These industrial ovens are from the well respected Polish manufacturer Romer and include upgraded controls and build features for the UK market, as designed by Riley Surface World.
Constructed from a heavy duty box sectioned frame with stainless steel chamber panels and externally clad in a hard wearing powder coated finish these ovens are built to last.
The MTS + ThPID smart control systems manage oven performance to deliver accuracy and reduce power consumption. Operators have full control with and easy-to-use touch panel that can set 20 multi-stage, multi-parameter programs including maximum power use.
ThPID is combined with a ventilation system to deliver controlled cooling features for temperature accuracy on the way up and way down.
Process cycles can be analysed and recorded at your desktop using the supplied iCure software showing temperature traces and power use.
Conformity and accuracy is achieved by tried and tested electric heating panels feeding an air circulation system with adjustable hot air vents in the chamber walls.
Forced Air Circulation
These forced air circulation ovens (also known as mechanical convection ovens) use a fan to cycle air around the internal chamber, offering heating consistency for your precision heat application. The high air circulation rate per minute results in a tighter temperature uniformity. Riley Surface World can also provide convection ovens with no fan-assisted air circulation.
Typical Applications
- Powder coating curing processes
- Composite curing
- Water based paint stoving
- Curing resins and rubbers materials
- Pre-heating and low temperature heat treatments
- Processing plastics
- Thermal bonding
- Drying applications
- Thermal testing etc.
Benefits and Features
- Design tested to better than ± 5°C over a 9 point survey.
- Forced air circulation with roof mounted fan/s for easy maintenance.
- Multi-positional hot air return vents for uniform heat distribution.
- Temperature calibration is achieved by adjustable circulation inlets in the chamber side walls.
- Double wing loading doors with adjustable, explosion proof, slam shut positive door locks can be opened from inside the oven as a safety feature.
- Controlled and automatic exhaust damper for programmed fume ventilation, as you need for your process.
- Passive air ventilation and cooling (vents open to allow passive cooling).
- Forced air ventilation is available (ventilation fan blows cool air into the oven) .
- Programmable chimney opening via an electrical actuator.
- Explosion proof expansion dampers.
- Load/unload trolley & guide rails included.
- Constructed from 240mm insulation walls, 400mm insulation ceiling and heavy duty box section with a durable powder coated finish.
- Galvanized steel chamber (stainless steel optional)
- Automatically schedule cycles to start at pre-determined times.
- Modular electric heating system - Swiss made finned elements, easy access panel, and an innovative design offering instant heat generation.
- Flexible heat resistant door seals.
- CE Marked.
- 1 year manufacturer warranty
Controls
- ThPID control system offsets the effect of heating inertia called hysteresis. The standard solution is based on a circuit that switches elements on and off with constant power. ThPID dynamically adjusts the voltage at the setpoint temperature reducing power user and increasing accuracy.
- MTS control system provides more accurate temperature measurement by using multiple sensors across the oven chamber.
- Side mounted control panel with HMI display and an easy view status sounder and LED signalling tower.
- Built-in Over Temperature protection.
- PLC controlled with iCure 7" Touch screen HMI panel with programmable functionality.
- Easy to use, large colour touch panel, providing full control of all operational parameters.
- Save up to 20 programs and 10 consecutive triggers governing ramps, dwells, time and temperatures.
- Controlled cooling feature.
- Door limit sensors installed on the door to interrupt operation when door is opened.
- Emergency cycle restart after power loss.
- Built in calendar.
- Process memory review - internal memory for 20 cycles.
- Start timer - begin your process before you reach the factory.
- On-board energy consumption monitoring and recording.
- Process memory review.
- ModBus MASTER/SLAVE RS485 compatible.
- Two-channel temperature recorder.
- iCure PC analysis software.
- USB data export
Smart ThPID & MTS features
The MTS + ThPID smart control systems manage oven performance to deliver accuracy and reduce power consumption. The charts below show how both features increase performance. You can choose a Romer Essentials Oven without MTS & ThPID, suitable for many processes at a reduced cost.

Romer - Experienced Oven Manufacturer
The outstanding feature of Romer ovens is the quality of manufacturing. Everyone who stands in front of a Romer, from buyers to calibration engineers, have commented how well constructed they are.
Romer have been manufacturing ovens and powder coating machines from their base in central Poland for over 25 years and export to 40 countries worldwide. Their 8,000m² facility employs over 150 staff and has passed Riley Surface World's inspection and auditing requirements.
Riley Surface World and Romer have secured a partnership to service the UK market with large (over 1m³) ovens up to 200°C. These ovens are perfect for curing powder coating but the range of applications is large.
Why are Ovens Essential for Powder Coating?
A popular process in surface finishing, powder coating is made up of three fundamental steps of preparation, application and curing.
The importance of the curing stage is what sets the layer to produce the durable qualities powder coating is known for. To cure the powder coating layer, a heat element is required to melt the layer initially, allowing the layer to flow & bond to form a solid coating. To cater for sizes of the components to reach temperatures of 160°C to 240°C, industrial ovens are essential as they offer the size & temperature requirements needed.
