Description

Amsonic Cleaning Line with configuration of: - Load Station, Two Heated Tanks, Three Rinse Tanks and Drain/Inspect Station.

Parts are held in hexagonal baskets (Eight off) manufactured from perforated stainless steel, gear driven from the centre spindle at one end. Dimensions: 285 mm across flat of hexagon by 540 mm long.

Basket rotary drive extended from base of tank to above, allowing baskets to drain before moving on to the next tank.

The plant has been used to "blacken" brass parts in a heated 33% Ebonol C solution in water, then rinse in cold water.

The PLC program prompts the operator via a beacon to move the basket along the process line, when the baskets are in the lowered position an empty can be returned to the start. The operator's pendant tracks outside the light curtain.

The operator observes process from raised platform.

 Tank 1 & Tank 2 Chemical Treatment

Operated either/ or to allow cooling for replenishment of solution in non operating tank.

Capacity 150 litres with no weir facility
Heated by 2 x 6Kw, 230v single phase elements protected by thermal cut-outs (BOSS, supplied by STS heaters)

Controlled by Thermocouple connected to West 4100+ controller set at 98°C and over temperature "Policeman" West 6100+ controller. Recording available with Eurotherm nanodac unit

Level control by twin Deeter Group liquid vertical continuous sensor (LVCS 1, 2v output)

PLC control of 24Vdc solenoid valve automatic water refill.

Separate pneumatic diaphragm pumps to empty and to fill solution, temperature interlocked to prevent foaming if solution added at too high a temperature.

Tank 3, 4 & 5

Capacity 150 litres with weir level control

Water refill controlled by PLC operating 24vdc solenoid valve. Manual control available for initial fill.

Inspection and tip

Cradle situated over Chute for tip-out of parts. Gate holds parts back for inspection before tip in to work container.

Panel rewired with;

Mitsubishi PLC: Fx3G - 60M with Fx2N -AD and Fx2N-48ET - DSS

24vdc control voltage and relays. Manufacturer; Schneider & Telemecanique

HMI : Mitsubishi GOT 2000

PLC monitored twin channel safety circuit. Incorporating emergency stops and light curtain on operating side.

All tanks have as standard Stainless-steel pipework with solenoid inlet valve and manual drain valve
