Description

A brand new Down Flow Reverse Pulse Cleaning (DFRPC) Dust Extractors from Riley Surface World. Built in the United Kingdom these extractors incorporate features that we believe will rival any of the current extractors available on the market today and at a very competitive price.

Having been in the surface finishing industry as a supplier of quality used plant and equipment for over 50 years we have seen the full spectrum of machines on offer from all of the major suppliers all over Europe. Having seen the best available, we now have a a design that incorporates features that we believe will rival any of the current extractors available on the market today and at a very competitive price.

Many industrial applications will produce dust which needs to be extracted and filtered accordingly. All of our dust extraction systems are made in the UK and can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

The DFRPC delivers optimum performance and is one of the best value dust collectors available in today’s marketplace.

Benefits

  • Built in the United Kingdom using only the best of components available.
  • Made from fabricated and welded heavy duty 4 mm carbon steel.
  • Unit mounted and free standing fan sets tailored to make best use of the available space.
  • Ledge less construction and angled filters eliminates dust buildup.
  • Compact design minimises floor space.
  • Powerful performance filter cartridge technology.
  • Cleaning system that provides 30% more cleaning energy.
  • Cost savings from fewer filter changes, reduced filter disposal costs, and less energy usage.
  • Easy system set up.
  • Easy for maintenance.
  • Inlet shrouds to prevent direct impingement onto the top tier of the elements.
  • Dust containers dust discharge.
  • ATEX rated explosion panel included.
  • Supplied with 80/20 Cellulose cartridges.

Modular Construction

Having three basic designs, two module high, three module high and four module high, a large range of capacities can be achieved by simply coupling together any combination of extraction units together with common inlet and outlet manifolds offering not only a wide range of capacities but also dutied systems with independent fans for multi-point extraction systems.

The advantage of sharing a common design, allows any installed system to be expanded at any time as and when it may be required.

Industrial Cartridge Filter Design

Our dust extractors can filter highly contaminated volumes of air. The dust-laden waste gases enter through the inlet by vacuum or pressure. The gases are then filtered through the cartridges and exit through the vents into the clean air to be either be channeled outside or re-circulated depending on the application in hand. Our dust extraction filters are easily changed from the front of the unit, and they can also be offered in a non-woven material for those applications where non-woven cartridge filters are suitable.

The use of downward airflow and inclined filters has resolved the problem of dust retention on the upper surface of the filters. It also enables a more compact cartridge filter design and enhanced cleaning efficiency as every element is cleaned by its own pulse valve instead of rows of elements cleaned by a jet pipe arrangement.

A ledge less hopper in combination with proprietary Nanofibre filter media and reverse pulse cleaning technology, offers strong performances in traditional applications such as metal and woodworking, which all adds up to long-term savings and improved performance in most applications.

Our industrial cartridge filters are always in stock and available for immediate supply and installation. For special purpose machines or non stocked versions we offer an exceptional turnaround and can offer build times in as little as three weeks.

Industrial Cartridge Filters

Riley's DFRPC dust extractors have an extensive range of cartridge filters available to suit most applications. These dust extractor cartridge filters are technically advanced in design to give you the cleanest of returned air. The cartridges being cleaned by compressed air makes the system highly efficient. Cartridge filters can save up to 40% on space in comparison to conventional multi-pocket or tubular bag type extraction systems.

Pleated Cartridge Filters
Pleated Cartridge Filter elements were originally designed and developed for use as truck air intake filters. The media was very simple folded and pleated paper and they served that purpose very well. In the mid 1980's the dust control industry recognized their potential use for low dust loaded non arduous dust collector applications.

Cartridge Dust Filters
The wider application of Cartridge Dust Filters in the 1990's forced the development of sophisticated technical medias to allow the design to be applied to a much wider range of duties. These units are now developed to a point where they offer a very low cost solution to a very wide range of dust control applications.

How do Dust Extractors Work?

Dust collection systems work in a variety of different ways but all have general principles in common. They draw process dust and particulates from the air through a filter that first captures and separates the matter, and then discharges decontaminated air back into the workplace or environment.

Dust extractors are used in many different and varied industries and so different demands are made of them; however all have common components such as a blower (or fan), dust filter, filter cleaning system, dust container and dust removal system.

Five common types of dust collection equipment are fabric filter baghouses, inertial separators (like mechanical cyclones), cartridge collectors, wet scrubbers, and electrostatic precipitators.

Importance of Dust Extractors

Dust in the workplace can affect product quality and employee´s health. Having a dust-free environment is essential to the health and safety of the workforce. Not only does it affect the health of employees but the dust covers the equipment affecting production processes and quality of the products.

Capturing the dust at the source prevents it from spreading, done by using a dust extractor system to facilitate the important housekeeping to avoid it from accumulating.

What are Cartridge Dust Collectors?

Cartridge Dust Collectors a type of filter unit which is predominantly used in environments where space is at a premium. They can often maintain airflows which remain comparable to larger baghouse units.

Cartridge units provide larger fabric filter areas into a smaller place, use less filters and can be changed from the outside of the extractor, rather than having to access the unit internally, thus reducing filter replacement times and less environmental contamination issues for maintenance staff.

They are ideal for commercial and industrial environments, whose processes produce very fine-to- moderate dust-like powders, metalworking, woodworking, fume collection, thermal spraying, among other processes.

What are Reverse Pulse Jet Dust Collectors?

Reverse Pulse Jet Dust Collectors use a jet of air to clean dust from the collector's filters. Commonly used in pleated filter cartridge units, the filters are cleaned by a series of rapid, high-pressure air jets which sends a blast or shock of air through the reverse side of the filters. In effect this shakes the collected dust from the filters into the dust collection system. The rapid reverse pulse of air allows for continuous operation with the fan running and has high collection efficiencies.

Reverse Pulse Jet Dust Collectors are the most common type of industrial dust collectors and can handle a wide range of temperatures and pressures. They are commonly used in manufacturing environments where large volumes of solids are processed, such as mineral production, food processing and metal fabrication industries.

A control unit sets the variables such as time duration between pulses, length of pulse and pressure.
