Description

Caltherm very high quality, late model conveyor 250°C oven (2018) Caltherm industrial ovens are used in a huge variety of industrial processes, including heat treatment, curing, drying, stabilization, carbonization, etc.

The oven is of fabricated construction and comprises:

  • Heating system made up of two heater banks and three fan assemblies.
  • Automatic conveyor system and  belt tensioning system.

A standard sequence of operation would be as follows:

  • Start the system using the local/remote select switch.
  • Load product onto the conveyor and the product will automatically be transported into the oven.
  • Take product off the outfeed station.

The controls are interlocked such that the system may only run in the correct sequence during normal operation.

Should conditions in the process become unsafe, the interlocks will ensure that the system is returned to a safe and the operator is made aware.

The temperature uniformity has been calibrated using 1.5mm Ø "k" thermocouples for both control and survey.

Construction

  • Oven frame is made up of mild steel sections.
  • Internal skin constructed with Aluminized mild steel sheet.
  • External skin to be PVC coated mild steel.
  • Insulation 100mm thick mineral wool.
  • Air gap 100mm on all sides, 75mm on the back.
  • Conveyor belt 4mm open mesh PTFE coated Kevlar type with guide strip to either side to aid tracking.

  • Time to reach set point temperature (220°C) - < 60 mins
  • Pre-heat fan motor rating - 1.5kw
