Description

This Kerry four stage ultrasonic aqueous microclean cleaner with Autotrans MK3 Robotic handler is a compact system that suits a wide range of cleaning needs in aerospace, automotive, electronics and other related industries.

Ultrasonic cleaning works by introducing ultrasonic energy into a tank containing the cleaning solution. This energy causes minute bubbles to form and collapse within the solution, this action being called cavitation. The cavitation leads to a very gentle but highly effective scrubbing action on the component surface that loosens the contaminant.

The machine is supplied with two Pulsatron 500 frequency generators.

The multi-stage aqueous cleaning system has an automated PLC controlled carrier handling device, heated ultrasonic wash, towns water rinse, DI water rinse and warm air dry which suits a wide range of cleaning needs in aerospace, precision, electronics and other industries. 

Cleaning Stages

Stage 1 - Heated Ultrasonic Spray Under Immersion Tank

Ultrasonic Power is provided by the Pulsatron 500 series of generator which allow high intensity ultrasonic to be applied to the base of the tank.

  • Heating provided by thermostatically controlled heaters mounted in the weir.
  • Integral lip fume extraction.
  • Base mounted ultrasonics.
  • Low level float switch protects the ultrasonics, heater & filtration circuit. relaying low level warning message to control panel.

Spray under immersion manifold is mounted in tank. The manifold has 24 uniformly distributed nozzles. The pumping action is provided by a single pump and supplies the manifold via the filtration circuit, which comprises of a strainer, removable cartridge fine filter, filter monitor pressure gauge and suitable ball valves.

Stage 2 - Ambient Towns-Water Rinse

  • Removable weir plates providing an 80mm wide weir box.
  • Spray under immersion manifolds are mounted in tanks and configured the same as Stage 1.
  • The base of the tanks slope to the front and the drain socket fitted at low level permit satisfactory draining. 

Stage 3 - Ambient DI Water Rinse

  • Removable weir plates providing an 80mm wide weir box.
  • Spray under immersion manifolds are mounted in tanks and configured the same as Stage 1.
  • The base of the tanks slope to the front and the drain socket fitted at low level permit satisfactory draining. 
  • Low level float switch relaying low level warning message to control panel.

Stage 4 - Hot Air Dry

  • Pneumatic sliding lid.
  • Chamber tank, where air is drawn from the base of the tank and is passed over heating elements before being recirculated back into the chamber.
  • Moist Air bleed tube and adjustable fresh air intake incorporated in the circulation system to prevent excess build up of moisture laden air.
  • Temperature is controlled by adjustable electronic thermostat and is displayed on the control panel.
  • When the lid is opened the fan & heating automatically switch off.
  • Economy timer ensures that dryer operates for only 20 minutes after stage 2 spay under immersion for Energy conservation.
  • Hot air dryer maximum operating temperature is 100°c.

 Autotrans System MK3 

The Autotrans programmable mechanical handling system is essentially a rail mounted horizontally running trolley fitted with a vertical lift column, powered by a de-shunt would electric motors driven controlled via a dedicated controller. A user interface panel is provided to facilitate programming and messaging display.

The entire assembly is supported behind the process sequence it is designed to serve and for which it may be programmed with up to 10 independent programmes.
