Description

The Aquablast AB915 wet blasting machine ensures a superior finish at the end of the blasting process.

This product gives you the perfect alternative to dry blasting, in what is a dust-free process with a softer surface finish which in cosmetic applications, keeps components cleaner for longer.

Benefits of the AB915

  • Complies with ATEX rated blasting processes.
  • The Vixen Aquablast wet blasting machine is completely manufactured in stainless steel.
  • The main advantage of the wet process is that it cleans by high flow rates, thereby eliminating the hard impact from the abrasive, resulting in a 'soft' finish with the water acting as its lubricant. Media impregnation is avoided and the life of the blast media is also extended.
  • The water/media slurry is contained within the wet blasting cabinet sump and external weir filter.
  • Delivery of the slurry to the manual blast nozzle is via glandless polyurethane pumps and associated hoses located inside the wet blasting cabinet.

Features of the AB915

  • 304 Stainless steel construction of the blast cabinet with rubber lining.
  • Internally submersed glandless polyurethane pumps.
  • Single large access door to the right of the cabinet.
  • Sump water heater for assisting in the removal of heavy oils and grease.
  • Internal viewing light.
  • Large front viewing window with water wash wiper.
  • Safety cut out switch to prevent operation if the door is opened.
  • 100 Litres water plus 25kg media. (TBC)
  • Max load 125kg.
  • 415 V 3 phase and neutral.

Service Requirements

  • Electrical supply: 415v 3 Phase + Neutral
  • Air supply: 7 bar (100psi @ 110 to 150 cfm)
  • Air operating range: 2-6 bar (30-80psi)
  • Water supply: 1/2" BSP
  • Drain floor level approx. 10 litres/min
  • Ventilation: 4" / 110mm Duct to outside atmosphere
  • Year of manufacture 2013
  • Serial number 470

Why Use Wet Blasting?

  • Reduction of dust
  • Hydrostatic forces for more mass at the point of impact or less abrasive are required.
  • Suitable for cleaning
  • Can reduce media use
  • Produces a “softer finish”
  • Reduced running costs
  • Environmentally friendly
