Description

Unused, 14 Stage, Rack & Barrel Plating Plant with 2 off Barrels & Semi-Auto Transporter

This plant has been designed and built as a 14 stage, bright zinc plating,  barrel line with clear, yellow/gold and black passivation. The format and condition of this line means it is highly adaptable and could be used for many treatment processes with ease. Also supporting rack plating the plant is currently configured for electrolytic plating and could be used for immersion treatments. 

Pioneer Prototype Engineering are an experienced engineering firm used to delivering high quality projects  that were asked to produce a modular plating plant on behalf of a metal finishing sub-contractor. Working in conjunction with the well respected Eagle Engineering who provided tanks and barrels Pioneer Engineering worked on this plant in their works to mechanical and electrical completion. The buyer cancelled the contract prior to commissioning, leaving Pioneer Prototype with a complete plant with no home - this provides Riley's customers with an excellent opportunity to secure this line for their business.

Available now at a low price

This electroplating line is available now - with no lead time. It is stored at the OEM's facility in the UK.
The cost of this line was £175,000 when brand new and is now available at a fraction of that cost, priced for a quick sale as factory space needs to be released.
The OEM can power the line up for visitors to view, by appointment.

Transporter/travelling crane

The electric travelling crane / transporter supports a 500kg load and includes manual joystick control. Semi automated PLC control is available but was not programmed due to contract cancellation.

The transporter and services is supported by a 304 and 316 stainless steel structure.

The line is 100% complete, the plant is manual but can be converted to automatic very easily

The seller can very easily modify the plant if required.

Barrels included

The plant currently includes 2 off 385mm wide 300mm Ø barrels. These are manufactured by Eagle Engineering with key features:

• One piece wrap-around cylinder skin (avoiding joints and potential chemical traps)
• Manufactured from premium grade PE1000, which allows for the maximum perforated open area for more efficient solution and electrolytic transfer – which means faster processing time and power cost saving
• Perforation chamfers and corrugation patterns designed to eliminate surface tension and adhesion
• Fully sealed high tensile 18.5mm diameter steel rod reinforcement supports.
• Heavy duty lid frame reinforced with high tensile steel bars
• Long lasting and robust due to the barrel design and use of PE1000 rather than inferior materials

Tank Schedule

Below is a schedule of polypropylene tanks including features and sizes. The tanks and features are mechanically and electrically tested. The tanks are built in three 4.2m modular sections for transport or reconfiguration.

The contract for this line was cancelled prior to rectifiers being installed, giving you, the buyer, the opportunity to define the rectifier specifications.

Full OEM Support

Pioneer Prototype Engineering is available to support the commissioning and installation of this plant if required - they would love to find a home for a plant they have carefully designed and built. 

As the plant is installed at the OEM's manufacturing facility modifications can be made prior to installation in your factory. Dismantling and loading to transport included in the price.
