Description

P&P Products QC1200 quadrant coater for the bulk coating of small components.

Manufactured by P&P Products of Bradford,  the QC1200 machine has the ability to coat the smallest and most intricate shaped components especially those within the aerospace and automotive industries.

This fully automatic coating machine ensures consistent and repeatable quality finishes through its patented belt loop system. The QC1200 can be programmed to perform a uniform coating cycle to all surfaces of even the most complex shaped components while providing a consistent quality finish with a very high percentage of material utilisation.

Another great feature is the savings made on the amount of spray material used compared with other coating processes, making the QC1200 machine a cost effective addition to your coating technology.

The revolutionary quadrant coater brings an added dimension to bulk coating techniques. Greater accuracy and better surface finish on previously difficult shapes can now be coated with all the economic advantages of an automatic bulk coating technique.

In principle, the quadrant coater comprises a belt containing the components to be coated. This automatically feeds them into position' coats, dries and repositions. The cycle can then be repeated as required depending on the configuration of the component, before discharge for final cure, if required. The coating and drying cycles can be pre-programmed for each type of component and coating materials used.

With other coating processes, there is little control of the coating thickness of coating applied, especially for such things as fine threads on fasteners.

But with the QC1200 unique design the coating tolerances for components coated with functional coatings such as fluorocarbons used for mechanisms or threaded fasteners where fit is just as vital as the corrosion resistance are vastly improved and meets the highest of standards set.
