Description

Lakestyle downdraft fettling booth for the control of dusts from manual grinding, fettling, fibreglass and composite materials trimming type operations. Fitted with twin 240 volt electrical sockets and rubber matting on a steel mesh worktop.

Internal working area - 1400mm x 875mm x 1000mm

The fan-less downdraft tables are designed to provide efficient capture of dusts, fumes, and gas/vapours generated from a variety of manufacturing operations and processes such as:

  • Buffing
  • Grinding
  • Sanding
  • Cutting
  • Polishing
  • Gluing
  • Bonding
  • Mixing
  • Certain welding applications

They are typically used on applications where work is done on a table and contaminants are generated close to the work surface. Contaminants generated during operations are drawn through the openings in the table top into the plenum base where larger particles and debris (if generated) will fall out of the air stream.

Remaining airborne contaminants are drawn into the duct connected to the back of the table and are exhausted outside or to an optional filtration system for removal.

Industrial grade downdraft tables address indoor air quality issues in the workplace by:

  • Reducing the risk of operator exposure to harmful substances.
  • The capture of metal dust from deburring/grinding; welding smoke capture; fume and vapor reduction.
  • Drawing polluted air away from operator breathing zones.
  • Flexible to accommodate various sizes and types of production equipment.
  • Increasing employee and operator safety and comfort levels.
  • Operating at a comfortable noise level.
  • Being equipped with high efficiency filters for effective air cleansing.

Features

  • Steel square section construction.
  • Solid side and rear walls fitted with soundproofing material.
  • Two outlet duct, Ø300mm each end, one currently capped.
  • Internal lighting.

Importance of Dust Extractors

Dust in the workplace can affect product quality and employee´s health. Having a dust-free environment is essential to the health and safety of the workforce. Not only does it affect the health of employees but the dust covers the equipment affecting production processes and quality of the products.

Capturing the dust at the source prevents it from spreading, done by using a dust extractor system to facilitate the important housekeeping to avoid it from accumulating.
