Specialised Composite Oven Returned to the Motorsport Industry
Plant
250°C Air Circulated Composite Curing Oven
Details of the Sale
Originally an F1 bodyshell curing oven, Rileys was approached by Sterling Machining Ltd as they were looking to dispose of a large curing oven they no longer required.
In consideration of the large dimensions and the flexible time frame Sterling had to dispose of the oven, it was agreed to sell the oven in a Direct From Site event. This sales method prevented the need to move the oven until sold, reducing costs for buyer and seller.
Riley’s was successful in finding an buyer for the oven following a targeted marketing campaign.
In addition Riley’s experienced logistics team arranged collection and delivery involving specialist loading equipment (Hiab, low trailer and specialist engineering) to accommodate the size of the oven.
Where is the Oven Now?
The oven had originally been used for F1 bodyshell curing so it was satisfying for Riley’s that the oven was sold to a UK composite company known for its work in motorsport industry.
The new owner involved in projects with Jaguar & F1, the oven was returned to the industry it was built to excel in.
